A new SXSW-flavored social networking site launched this morning by Jacob Patton. From the post on the SXSW community blog:

At the site, you can subscribe to iCal feeds for all the panels, download vcards of panelists and other attendants, and post your own contact information so that folks can get in touch with you.

I had a good time putting together Conferenceer, and I hope it’s useful to some of you. (My favorite feature, by the way, is that you can subscribe to all of the newsfeeds of people in a given panel–it’s been a lot of fun seeing what people write about as they get their presentations ready.)

From what little I’ve seen of it (the site has been intermittent today due to overwhelming traffic) it looks like a great tool for conference attendees. It’s iCal and vCard integration should be immensely useful for keeping track of people and events during the week. As of 11:04 pm, the site is down for maintenance, and I’m sure it’s still being tweaked to handle the traffic it will be seeing later this week.
